Shen Shou Art Museum

Shen Shou Art Museum was established in 1992. It is located at the old site of Nantong County Female Workers Training Institute (The first embroidery-training school) by the riverside of scenic Haohe of Nantong. The name of it is entitled by Zhou Jiahua, Deputy Chairman of National People’s Congress. It displays a series of historical pictures and real embroidery arts of Shen Shou, the master of embroidery in modern times of China. It also gives detailed introduction of Shen Shou’s art achievements and the essential works of her disciples.

Old Residence of Zhang Jian

Old Residence of Zhang Jian: Zhang Jian (1, July 1853 – 24, August 1926) is a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, plus modern industrialist, politician and educator. He persisted on saving the nation by industry. He is the pioneer of the early period of Chinese cotton textile industry. The antique and serene Old Residence of Zhang Jian is where Zhang Jian’s ancestor’s house was located, and where he spent time studying and working. It is a valuable place of history and tourism.

Wolf Mountain

Wolf Mountain: It is located in the south suburb of Nantong, which is a well-known natural scenic spot. It consists of Wolf Mountain, Ma’an Mountain, Huangni Mountain, Sword Mountain and Jun Mountain. It is close to the Yangtze River in the west. It is called as Five Mountains as a whole. Wolf Mountain is one of them, with an altitude of 109 m. It is the most precipitous and graceful one, with numerous place of interests. As the center, it is surrounded by the other four mountains. In addition, It is the top of the eight small Buddhist Mountains, entitled as “The First Mountain of Jianghai”
